    Willbros Construction Canada is looking for competent skilled labourers with pipeline / facility experience to perform tasks involving physical labour for a pipeline / facility project.

     

    Join the Willbros Construction services (Canada) L.P. team in Regina, Saskatchewan from June, 2018 until July, 2018 or until project completion.

     

    Successful candidates must reside in the Regina area

     

    Responsibilities

    Labourers are responsible for, but not limited to:

     

    • Adhering to all safety procedures and providing input for continuous enhancement of the safety program
    • Follow all project site policies and working rules
    • Participate in daily tool box talks and take active role
    • Assisting with pipeline installation, under the direct supervision of the foreman
    • Completing all assigned tasks
    • Assist in alignment of pipe
    • Cover pipes with earth
    • Grade and level trench bases
    • Train others in pipe-laying techniques
    • Assisting crew members of all day to day operations
    • Using hand tools
    • Operating pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
    • Loading and unloading materials
    • Securing loads prior to transport
    • Fueling equipment
    • Oiling and greasing equipment
    • Erect and dismantle temporary fencing
    • Directing traffic on or near construction site
    • Cleaning trucks and equipment
    • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
    • Build and take apart bracing, scaffolding and temporary structures
    • Dig trenches, backfill holes and compact earth to prepare for construction
    • Erect barricades, place cones and markers to control traffic
    • Act as a spotter for heavy equipment
    • Assist other trades as required
    • Other duties as assigned by site supervisor

    Qualifications

    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
    • Must have minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience as a labourer in the pipeline / facility construction industry
    • Pipe laying techniques
    • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and process manuals
    • Perform duties effectively in confined spaces
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong analytical, communication and multi-tasking skills
    • Experience working next to heavy equipment

     

    EDUCATION

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
