  • Overview

    Coordinates all project activities in multiple disciplines and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Schedules and manages the work of the crews, equipment and subcontractors to achieve maximum production in the most efficient manner.

    ** Locals to Fort McMurray are preferred**



    • Ensuring production compliance with both Company procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • Reporting and investigating all safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
    • Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner.
    • Planning and coordination of the application of labour (quantity and skill level) to achieve production and contractual schedule targets.
    • Participating in the provision of weekly status updates of work order progress.
    • Participating in build strategy development, production planning, and scheduling meetingss
    • Coordinating the electricians, instrumentation technicians, assigned steelworkers/welders facilities, and equipment utilization to achieve production and contract targets.
    • Weekly review of cost results vs. budgets, and implementation of corrective action when required.
    • Participation in continuous improvement discussions.
    • Cost effective use of direct materials and consumables.
    • Ensuring that the supervision and production labour applied to each task have the skill level, training, experience, and knowledge to perform the task in accordance with the contractual specifications and Company quality standards.
    • Ensuring that the most up to date information is available and used by the production workforce throughout production.
    • Ensuring that production tooling, equipment, and facilities used are calibrated (where required) and properly used, such that conformance with contractual and company standards is achieved.
    • Implementation of corrective action on a timely basis.
    • Deploying adequate resources to meet the quality schedule, and cost requirements of the job




    • Completion of a high school diploma. Some college-level education preferred.


    • 5+  years of experience managing mid-sized, multi-disciplinary construction projects.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Broad knowledge of field engineering concepts, welding, pipefitting and field measurements.
    • Ability to trouble-shoot advanced errors related to all aspects of an assigned project and provide alternative solutions to correct any problems.
    • Ability to establish rapport with customers, contractors, suppliers and subordinates.
